Museum Scavenger Hunt Directions and Template

  1. Select the museum to visit.
  2. Determine the key points of interest.
    • Tip: Check the museum map to see if the visit should be narrowed to a section rather than the whole museum.
    • Tip: Consider selecting based on chunks of connected learning (ex: animal habitats or lines and shapes in art)
  3. Select the images to add to the template.
    • Use the museum’s website (ex. Museo del Prado -> The Collection)
    • Search images on the web (ex. “American Museum of Natural History Images”)
    • Look up in a reference guide (ex. MC Escher: His Life and Complete Graphic Works)
  4. Print and pack!
    • Tip: print on cardstock or plan to bring a clipboard for stability.
    • Tip: use travel-sized cotton swab containers for crayons and golf pencils!
