Our brains are wired for connection. We connect with people, places, and ideas as we experience and filter the information around us. These new connections serve as a lens that we interpret all new information through.

There are all kinds of lenses. Sleek, pretentious fashion eyewear- worthless if worn in actual sunlight. Grandma’s bifocals- safely attached to her neck by a pearl chain. Quirky transitions lenses that covertly shift from shade to light.
We each have our own personal lens that we interpret the world through.
Our desire is to provide our children with experiences that connect them to new places and cultures in a way that enable them to see through the lens that humans are more alike than we are different. Hoping the end result resembles a high-quality polarized lens that reflects the sunlight while providing clear vision.
In each blog post, I will share ways to prepare children for travel that purposefully build connections to develop this lens.
